More about Telic portrait sessions
What do I need to plan?
Tell me what the portraits are for and how you want to come across. I will guide the location, timing, visual approach, and the session itself.
Do I need two outfits?
No. One strong look is enough. If a second look adds range, it can be as simple as changing your shirt or as complete as a full outfit change.
What if it rains?
Outdoor sessions can be rescheduled when rain makes the planned setting unworkable. We make that call close enough to the session to use a reliable forecast.
Where will we shoot?
Most sessions take place in Washington, D.C. I recommend the setting based on what the photographs need to accomplish.
Make it yours.
Have something specific in mind? Bring it. Your dog, your motorcycle, your guitar, a place that matters to you, or an activity that’s part of who you are. If it can work within the session, we’ll find a way to incorporate it.
Not sure if your idea will work? Include it when you request a session.

The photographer / Keegan Duerr
Most men have never seen themselves photographed well.
My job is to show you what other people already see when you are at your best.
I began behind the camera while photographing my wife. It made me notice how often portraits of men are stiff, unnatural, or simply boring. Telic is my answer: clear direction, thoughtful settings, genuine expression, and editorial restraint.
I am also a D.C.-area product professional. That background shapes the experience. It is direct, prepared, respectful of your time, and built around the outcome you need.
